Imagine dozens of people around the world writing stories - funny ones, mostly - which share a general theme. These are posted to an Internet mailing list as they are written. Characters may interact with those from other storylines. In some cases the Authors may be drawn into the plot, something which can confuse characters immensely. Anything can happen, from the '5 billion George Bushes' saga to the mammoth 'Industrial Revolution' science vs. magic crossover which involved nearly every character (and hence Author) in active service at that time.

Now imagine this has been going on for very nearly ten years. There is almost 70 megabytes of text in the archives.
