Font Embedding

If the idea of limiting yourself to the fonts found on everyone elses’ computers seems too frustrating, you’re not alone. Both Microsoft and Netscape have been working on technologies which allow fonts to be automatically downloaded to the browser when needed. Alternatively you could use Flash to embed font outlines in Flash movies. However all these ‘font embedding’ tricks don’t solve the fundamental problem of legibility, as the clearest fonts around are part of the ‘Web-safe’ set.
